Hi BSS Ladies! 👋🏾 Who’s still victorious and triumphant on this terrific Tuesday? Sound off below if you’re walking and living victoriously and triumphantly! 💃🏾
As we all know, our annual conference is right around the corner, and this year’s conference color is PURPLE! “Why purple”, you ask? Purple is a royal, powerful, and meaningful color. It was the most coveted color in the ancient world!
Due to its rarity in nature and the expense of creating its dye, purple became a color of prestige. It was the most expensive dye known to the ancient Israelites in the Bible. It was the pigment of choice for those of noble or royal birth or those who were high-level officials. Roman Emperors and Catholic Bishops wore purple clothing for many years!
Phrases containing purple were sometimes referred to those of a royal lineage. Constantine VII, Emperor of the Byzantine Empire (b. 905, d. 959 A.D.), was given the title of Porphyrogenitus, which means 'born of the purple room.' Wow, such interesting facts!
Here at BSS Women, we are children of God, a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for [God’s] own possession, that [we] may proclaim the excellencies of Him who called [us] out of darkness into His marvelous light.” So, join Pastor Bola and step out in grand royal style in your regal purple attire.
